We continue our tradition of interviewing the new curator and head of Berlinale Shorts while she is still moving into her new office. Short Talks provides an inside look into the headquarter of the festival's short film section.

Anna Henckel-Donnersmarck has originally joined the Berlinale Shorts as part of the pre-selection team under previous curator Maike Mia Höhne. She works as a filmmaker, experimental video artist and teacher as well as programmer for other festivals. Always with a focus on the short format. In our interview we get an idea of how and why festival entries are selected into the Berlinale Shorts and discover the origins of Anna Henckel-Donenrsmarck's interest in presenting art programs to an audience.
