Our last release for this year's Short Talks is packed wirh Berlinale goodies! Director Trevor Anderson, his cinematographer Mike McLaughlin and actor/musician Bryce Kulak all sat down in front of our Short Talks camera.
Short Talks PURE - Mauricio López Fernández
Short Talks met up with director Mauricio López Fernández and producer Rebeca Gutiérrez Campos during the Berlinale 2012 at the Marriott Hotel at Potsdamer Platz. That way we kept our promise to shoot our interviews at locations, where we have never shot before.
Short Talks PURE - Rosana Cuellar
Our first interview during the Berlinale 2012 was also the most turbulent. At first director Rosana Cuellar had scheduling problems, then we had to quickly file an application for an impromptu film permit. We overcame both obstacles, you can see the result here!
Short Talks PURE - Khavn de la Cruz
This year no inch of film stock will end up on the cutting room floor! Every single interview will be released as a pimped out rough cut. Our first episode of Short Talks shows director Khavn de la Cruz in conversation with Raphael Keric.
Short Cut
Five interviews, eight guests and two cameras - the only thing we can't put into numbers is how much more time it's gonna take us until we release Short Talks 2012. We are continuously working on the main film as well as the separate interviews with all the directors, cinematographers, producers and actors. Stay tuned!
The entire program, pretty please!
"Which film is recommended?"; "Which block should I watch?" - There is only one answer to all those frequently asked questions: Who doesn't watch the entire selection has missed the most interesting part!
Rafa wins Golden Bear for Best Short Film 2012
Sandra Hüller, Emily Jacir and David O'Reilly have made their decision. The international short film jury has choosen Rafa to be the best film in the Berlinale Shorts 2012 competition. Director João Salaviza's work will be part of Short Talks 2012. We interviewed actress Joana Verona for our documentary and she talked with us about the making of Rafa as well as her thoughts on the movie.
Say goodbye...
...to storytelling. Never in the last five years has a program-motto been so present throughout the shorts like in 2012.
