Jeffrey Bowers' credits as a curator include Tribeca Film Festival, VICE Shorts, Hamptons International Film Festival and his ongoing work as part of the Vimeo Staff Picks team. When we met him for our interview in February he was part of the international jury at Berlinale Shorts 2019 - and just about to hand out awards.We sat down with Jeffrey just minutes before the Berlinale 2019 awards show for a quick interview about his career path from writing about shorts to curating for film festivals, the important role of Vimeo and other platforms for independent filmmakers and examples of how digital distribution can go hand in hand with traditional cinema.
